The next recruiting event will take place on 12 April at 6 pm in EI 10 Fritz Paschke HS (link)! At the recruiting event we will present our projects and show you how you can join us, it will be held in German.
Would you like to join the Space Team?
This is how you proceed:
- Come to the recruiting event on 12.04.2024 at 18:00 in EI 10 (link).
- Decide on a project (see Lamarr, Across Austria, STS1, FIRST). You will primarily be a Space Team member, so you can change the project.
- Fill out the membership form. See you in our Slack workspace!
- Follow the information in the welcome mail, especially contact the corresponding project manager in Slack: Across Austria: Andras Galffy, Lamarr: Michael Pohn/Stefan Galavics, STS1: David Wagner, FIRST: Fabio Winkler/Lutfi Celik, Marketing: Sebastian Dohnal. They will add you to the respective project channel, you will receive all further information from them.
- Come to our workshop on 01.05.2024 at 18:30 for an introduction to the Space Team. Afterwards our monthly team meeting will take place at 7 pm! The kickoff of the FIRST project is on 23 April 2024 at 6 pm!
Teams looking for support
You can join the Lamarr, AcrossAustria and STS1 teams after the next recruiting event! In addition, the next FIRST class starts at the end of April. Please have a look at the respective project pages in the meantime. Have you already made an agreement with a project manager? You can find the team leader’s contact details here.

We are always looking for creative minds (even during term time 😉 ) to show us in the best light. Photo, video, social media and web design – with us you can try out everything in terms of media technology and there are no cooler motifs than our aircraft anyway! How can you get involved?
You have STEM skills?
With us you can build rockets, design satellites, plan and test rocket engines and a do lot more. We work on many projects in a team that grows continuously across technological disciplines: mechanical engineering, firm- and software engineering, physics, electrical engineering and chemistry. Rockets are complex machines that need expertise in many areas! At the moment we are chasing the world record for student teams with multiple projects.
That’s why we are constantly looking for like minded teammates!
You are fascinated by aerospace projects but don’t have technological education?
project management, public relations, talks and presentations, legal framework, marketing and sponsoring… – our ambitious projects include many non-technological areas as well! Apart from that nothing stops you from learning about new topics of interest and broaden your tech horizon. We are looking forward to support from people with economic, legal or other backgrounds.
You don’t have to study at TU Wien! Motivation is the biggest qualification!

You can regularly join the space team in October/November and March/April. We host a recruiting event at the start of each semester, where we introduce our projects and show how you can be a part of them. The registration window opens after the recruiting event. The most up to date information can always be found at the top of this page.
