Yesterday on the 30.August 2012 at 11:04 CET we successfully launched our second experimental rocket STR-02 – Hornet. The flight was perfect and we reached an altitude of approximately 1800 meters and top speed of 250 m/s.
After ejections of the parachute the rocket safely landed 1,2 km from the launch pad. Most of the integrated systems of STR-02 worked fine and we could transmit data in real time and store on SD- card. The next days we will extract and visualize the data. Moreover we could take an onboard video with a GO-Pro and of course we took plenty of pictures. Here a first group picture before the launch.
