For the purpose of launching several CanSats at once into an altitude of ~500m TU Wien Space Team had to come up with redesigned rockets variants. Last weekend the first pieces of those rockets were manufactured and glued together. Both experienced team members and newcomers were involved.
In cooperation with ESERO Austria the TU Wien Space Team is organizing the first CanSat competition in Austria as a preliminary step for the European CanSat competition held by ESA. Space probes will be created in school projects that meet the rules of the competition. The highlight of the competition will be a rocket launch with the release of the mini satellite at an altitude of around 500m.
The competition is planned for April 2018 and will be organised by the TU Wien Space Team, where members will also be part of the jury.
