Want to become part of the Space Team? Here’s how:
- Come to the recruiting event on April 16, 2026 at 17:00 in EI7, Gußhausstraße building, TU Wien (map).
- Choose a project (see Lamarr, Across Austria, STS1, FIRST). You will primarily be a Space Team member, so you can switch projects later.
- Fill out the membership form. You will receive a welcome email with all further information!
- Attend the onboarding session in our workshop at Engerthstraße 119 (link):

- – May 04,2026 at 19:00 – Lamarr Onboarding
- – May 06,2026 at 17:30 – FIRST Onboarding
- – May 08,2026 at 16:00 – Across Austria Onboarding
- Once you have attended the onboarding event for a project that interests you (or the general onboarding if you are interested in an organizational part), join the projects channel(s) on Slack, so you don’t miss anything! At the recruitment event, we’ll introduce ourselves and our projects and show you how you can get involved. Afterward, we’ll open registration and hold onboarding days for all new members.

You can join the Lamarr, AcrossAustria, and STS1 teams after the next recruiting event! In addition, the next FIRST class starts soon. Please take a look at the respective project pages in the meantime. Have you already made an agreement with a project manager? You can find the team leader’s contact details here.
How can you get involved?
You have STEM skills?
With us you can build rockets, design satellites, plan and test rocket engines and a do lot more. We work on many projects in a team that grows continuously across technological disciplines: mechanical engineering, firm- and software engineering, physics, electrical engineering and chemistry. Rockets are complex machines that need expertise in many areas! At the moment we are chasing the world record for student teams with multiple projects.
That’s why we are constantly looking for like minded teammates!
You are fascinated by aerospace projects but don’t have technological education?
Project management, public relations, talks and presentations, legal framework, marketing and sponsoring… – our ambitious projects include many non-technological areas as well! Apart from that nothing stops you from learning about new topics of interest and broaden your tech horizon. We are looking forward to support from people with economic, legal or other backgrounds.
You don’t have to study at TU Wien! Motivation is the biggest qualification!

You can join the Space Team regularly after our recruiting event at the beginning of each semester. At the recruiting event, we will introduce ourselves and our projects and show you how you can join us. We will then open the registration phase – you will find the link to the membership form here.
The recruiting event takes place twice a year, in October/November and March/April. The exact date and further information will be published here in good time.
